Courses

Cardio Tennis is a new, fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high energy workout. It is more fun than going to the gym and running on a treadmill and you naturally improve your game because you hit so many shots.

John runs courses in Bective LTC in Donnybrook, Dublin 4 throughout the year. These courses are also open to non-members of Bective LTC. Further information is available from John.

The International Tennis Number (ITN) is a global tennis ratings scheme. With over 100 countries using the scheme, your ITN number is your passport to tennis worldwide!

John is a registered ITN Assessor and has been involved with Tennis Ireland in the implementation of the scheme in Ireland.

An ITN assessment lasts approximately half an hour and you receive your certificate at the end of the assessment with your ITN number. You may also check your results online and compare them to those of your friends!

The Junior Tennis Number (JTN)

The JTN is a sophisticated management system which will assist clubs in looking after all their junior members. It also provides an objective method of assessing these junior club members.

Further information on the system and examples of results are available here and may be used by Clubs, groups of players or individual players.

JOHNBRADYCOACHING will assess junior membership of a club on a one-off or more regular basis as required, to allow clubs measure their progress.

Results from previous assessments carried out by JOHNBRADYCOACHING are available here. To see how the results are calculated, please refer to these scoresheets; there is one for each relevant age group.

Contact John for a quotation or to see how JTN can work for you.

Tennis is easy, fun and healthy and is the ideal sport for starter players of all ages! Tennis is fun if you Serve, Rally and Score!

John is an advocate of the Play+Stay system for introducing children to the world of tennis and has tailored specific programmes to suit their needs.

Tennis 10s is tennis competition for players aged 10 and under.

The ITF recommend that players aged 10 and under do not train or play competition with a regular yellow ball on a full court, but instead train and compete with a Red, Orange or Green ball on the appropriate sized court.

Using these slower balls will help players to develop the most efficient technique, and to implement advanced tactics, that in most cases could not be performed using the yellow ball on the full court.

Tennis 10s is part of the ITF Play+Stay campaign (see above).

John once again has specific programmes tailored to suit the needs of this age group.

All of these courses emphasise developing and consolidating sound technique and tactics which will allow the player to compete effectively in both singles and doubles.

Please contact us should you require further information on any of the above courses or if you are interested in participating in any of them.
